To keep your cakes fresh and delicious, proper storage is key. Here's a simple guide to help you extend the life of your cakes:

1. Room Temperature (1-2 Days)
  • Suitable for: Butter cakes, Sujee Cake or without perishable fillings.
  • How to Store: Keep the cake in an airtight container at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
2. Refrigerator 0'c -4'c (1-2 Days)
  • Suitable for: Cakes with dairy-based fillings or frostings (like fresh cream, custard, or cream cheese), cakes with fruit toppings, and most cakes.
  • How to Store: Place the cake in an airtight container or wrap it in plastic wrap to prevent it from absorbing fridge odors and drying out.
  • Fruit Topping Cakes: Store in the fridge and consume within few hours or same day as fruit tend to deteriorate faster.
3. Freezer -18'c (1 Weeks)
  • Suitable for: Ice Cream Cake & most cakes.
  • How to Store: Wrap the cake tightly in plastic wrap. Thaw in the fridge overnight before serving for most cake except Ice Cream cake.
  • Tip: Avoid freezing cakes with fresh fruit toppings or delicate frostings as they may not thaw well.

 SK Homemade Cakes has assembled a chart to help you determine what size of your favorite cake you will need for the number of guests you have invited to the party.

The cake size and serving charts are based on party-sized portions of  6 in. to 12 in. or smaller cakes with their estimated weight and serving recommendation. The number of servings is intended as a guide only. You can cut into cube shape / smaller slice for more serving.

You can place your order online for Classic Cake, Cheesecake, Mille Crepe and Cake by selecting your ideal size from the chart below:

15cm / 6inch cake   -  Approx 500g to 800g (Recommended to serve 2 to 10 person)

20cm / 8 inch cake    - Approx 1kg to 1.3kg (Recommended to serve 8 to 20 person)

24cm / 9.5 inch cake - Approx 1.5kg to 2kg (Recommended to serve 14 to 27 person)

A little bit too sweet

The white sugar glaze on top dripped to the side of the cake.
The taste is a little bit too sweet maybe because of the oreo cream.

So sorry that is the glaze is drip to the side. we will take note of this and let the driver know and be more careful when handling and delivering customize design cake. Sometimes things just happen and can't control by us, we hope that you understand.
Mostly for oreo flavor is more suitable to kids, which for kindergarten celebration or big group kids party, although sweetness has less, yet this flavor is not very suitable to adult liking. For more adult consuming, we would suggest going something fruity and refreshing but normally kids don't really like it.

Another sweetness reason might be due to customizing the design for dark background on the side and white top to shine out the toy figuring, The chocolate ganache might add on extra sweetness to the cake itself and cause them to be slightly sweeter. If it was made using cream, to achieve black color cream might be too soft, watery and it will taste weird and slightly sour due to overuse of colouring. which we don't recommend on doing it.
